How to split a PDF in 3 steps

Works in any browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android — nothing to install.

1

Upload your PDF

Drag and drop the file or pick it from your device. Every page is shown as a thumbnail so you can see what you are cutting.

2

Choose how to split

Add custom ranges such as 1–3 and 4–9, split every N pages, or click the pages you want to extract or delete.

3

Download

Get a single PDF or a ZIP with every part. The file is deleted from our server the moment you download it.

Everything you need to split, extract and remove PDF pages

Custom page ranges

Define any number of ranges — 1–3, 4–9, 10–25 — and get each as its own PDF, or merge them into one document.

Split every N pages

Burst a document into single pages or into chunks of 2, 5, 10 pages — perfect for scanned batches and invoices.

Extract or delete pages

Click thumbnails or type 2, 5, 9-12 to pick pages. Keep them as a new PDF, or remove them from the original.

Private by design

Documents stay on our server only while they are processed. Results are deleted on download and leftovers are purged automatically.

Text stays text

Pages are copied, not re-rendered: fonts, links, bookmarks and searchable text are preserved exactly.

One click download

Single result as PDF, multiple parts bundled in a ZIP — no e-mail, no account.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Upload your PDF, choose "Fixed ranges" and set "every 1 page". Click Split PDF and you will receive a ZIP with one PDF per page.

Can I split a PDF by custom page ranges like 1–3 and 4–9?

Yes. In "Custom ranges" mode add as many ranges as you need. Each range becomes its own PDF, or tick "Merge all ranges into one PDF" to combine them.

Are my PDFs stored on your server?

Only for a few seconds while the split runs. The result is deleted the moment you download it; everything else is removed when you close the page or within 30 minutes at the latest.

Is there a page or file size limit?

PDFs up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages are supported. The tool is completely free, with no daily limit and no watermark.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as-is — text, images, links and fonts stay exactly as in the original.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs cannot be split. Remove the password first (e.g. with the owner password in your PDF viewer) and upload again.
